Description Native to south America, the Monkey Puzzle grows with distinctive whorled foliage and is a striking addition to any landscape. Though slow-growing and changing from being broadly conical in its youth to more a more vertical tree with an umbrella canopy, this tree rewards with its absolute uniqueness. The Monkey Puzzle can tolerate a variety of sites including maritime exposure, best in sites with good drainage and without excessive urban pollution.
